Restin on our Ranch

Well this past week was fair week in Kalispell. A little different than when our kids had animals, though. But, we still like to go through the barns and often run into old neighbors and 4-H/FFA parents and families, along with seeing all those first class, trimmed-up, fair entries. The 3 oldest of Mark Braatens' kids had hogs there. We also watched Sawyer participate in the hog-wrestling competition. That is quite a show! Those kids all come out covered in mud. Three teammates have a time limit to catch their hog, and stuff him, hindend first, into a tub of water! We saw the rodeo all 3 nights, and had fun taking Paige to her first rodeo. Her little head was just a spinning taking in all the new sights. We left before the very LOUD fireworks display, though. Jesse and Brenda came up this weekend with plans to meet some of their friends at the lake for some serious wake-boarding, and then Brenda also had a Baby shower to go to.

Thanks for commenting over on our side :) It's good to hear from you. Wish we could get over there sometime... we are planning a trip to Yellowstone area around Labor Day. Meeting up with both sets of parents, so should be a great time!

Don't look at the time..you'll see how late I stayed up tonight. Really I was working on homework so late that I decided I may as just stay up a little later...
